Examples of how we have used legacies

The Paradise Garden at Garden Organic Ryton was built
with the help of legacy gifts
Contributions both small and large have made a significant impact on HDRA/Garden Organic's development.
Legacies have helped with:
- building and creating many of the individual gardens at Garden Organic Ryton and supporting the rennovation work at Audley End - gardens like The Paradise Garden at Ryton
- supporting infrastructure - it is not just our new buildings that have benefitted from legacies - right back to the beginning of HDRA all sorts of development of the sheds, huts and other buildings were brought to completion thanks to legacy gifts
- planting trees at Garden Organic Ryton
- supporting our research in the UK, particularly areas like members' experiments, results from which can benefit all gardeners
- re-forestation work in sub-Saharan Africa
- paying for information leaflets to be printed and distributed
- supporting our advisory service in developing countries
Thanks and recognition
Legacy gifts are greatly treasured by HDRA/Garden Organic.
In recognition of all those who have given legacy gifts to the charity, HDRA/Garden Organic is currently preparing a book of recognition and thanks. In addition, it may be possible to have some parts of the gardens named. To discuss this in more detail, please contact the Chief Executive.
